Hi,

I'm trying to do a C Channel Stringer like on the attached image. I've tried doing this as a handrail but cannot get it to clean up properly. Surely someon has done this, help?!

thank you,
markus

As far as I know, you can't. Stringer profiles don't exist in Revit.

I typically add it to the handrail. If that doesn't work you will need to make an inplace family.

The Stairs themselves cannot have a Stringer Profile.
You need to make up a Handrail, that includes a Railing Profile that looks like a Stringer.
Host it to the Stairs & it will then work

Brilliant solution. I traced the detail component of the appropriately sized channel, loaded it on my project and used it for a stringer. thanks

I know this wasn't possible before, but I thought that was one of the new added features for 2013. Stair Assemblies.

I'm still on 2012, but that's great if they have fixed this problem
