cannot extrude cut from a circle sketch?

Hi - running Inventor 2011 on Win 7/ 64 bit

I cannot extrude cut from a circle sketch, it is greyed out?
Please see attached
Any ideas?

Looks like you have selected "New Solid",... try unselecting that and see if your cut un-greys itself?

Try this:
Turn off other sketches then extrude it again.

you do NOT have any solid bodies to cut into, only surfaces. you must first make a solid model from the surfaces, then you can cut into it.
