Want to Eliminate Background Graph

Sorry, basic question:
My Ground Floor Plan displays blue shading and a graph of dotted blue lines. How do I make this go away? Is is possible to keep the blue shading without the graph?

I checked the view properties, user interface, and the options button....

That is the workplane. You can turn it off from the home tab of the ribbon.You can't have the background without the grid but in theory you can 'eliminate' the grid by setting the spacing so far apart that it doesn't appear.

Thanks very much; I have set the graph spacing to 400 for now, keeping the blue. Thanks for the helpful screen snapshot.
