This is one of the small pain in the butt items that I would like to see fixed. I would like for the line tool to remember the last line setting that you used. We use arcs or splines for wiring on our electric plans and every time that you exit and re-enter the line command it defaults back to straight lines. It would be nice if the program kept your last selection (arcs for example) as the default when you re-entered the line command.

I would like the chain command to be hot" so instead of having to click the line icon, then the arc icon, then back to line, you could do it like the pline command where as you are drawing you hit "A" and it switches to arc, then you hit "l" and its back to line.

Scott,

I like your idea a lot. I think there is far too much moving the mouse back and forth between the tool bars and the drawing surface. The only potential glitch I can see with your idea is that when in the middle of drawing lines or arcs, you still have access to all other commands (zoom, etc.) You would just have to be careful that your dedicated line/arc commands didn't conflict with your other keyboard shortcuts.
