View Full Version : Detail tag issue

I have a Revit file from a firm where they changed the size of the detail tag circle (bubble). And now it does not connect with the detail leader line. They created the leader with a 3/16" radius vs the 1/4" OOTB.

Is there a setting where to control the relationship between a custom tag and the detail leader?

Thanks

I'm getting the same thing, we have not been able to fix this either. It sure would be nice to have smaller callout heads then the ones Revit comes with.

Thank you,

Okay, after researching this one again, I think I found the answer. The tag is placed based on 0,0 point that you cannot see (at least I couldn't figure out how to find it). So if you simply select everything and move it to the right the amount you are off (on the line connecting to the circle) and reload it, it should work. Also, if you use the template, the 0, 0 point is at the intersectino of the right vertical reference plane and the horizontal reference plane, but if you move these reference planes the insertion point will not move with them, so make sure you keep the right vertical reference plane and horizontal reference plane in place and move everything in respect to them.

I hope that makes sense and works,

Thanks Markus,

The image I placed was for a condition where the leader line goes vertical. The same gap appears horizontally. The new image I have placed is for the OOTB tag. If I read you correctly you are suggesting I move the graphics to the right? And up as well?

I'll get back with you in a minute,

John

Works with no adjustment for the Callout tool but not the Section Detail tool.

The Monk, I believe you will only need to move eveything to the right. Again, the insertion point is only one point, no matter which direction , and based on your image, you only need to move everything in only one direction.

However, at this point it might be easier for you to create a new family and start from the Revit Template. When you open the template take careful note of what the red text says.

best of luck,
markus

Mark,

Thanks, it seems to be working now. I resolved it with the section tag - no arrows. The callout tag had no affect. I was confused as to what you were talking about regarding the reference planes.

Thanks again
