Revit Architecture 2012- cannot save project

Has anyone run into this problem? When I try to save an existing revit project or save a newly created project (as a test), I receive this error message: "failed to open document". If I hit "OK", I receive "file not saved". I cannot find a way around this problem and am working on a deadline. Any help would be appreciated.

I am running Revit on a new macbook pro, using Parallels 7 for Mac.

try to save to an external drive, maybe parallels is incompatible with revit saving for some reason

Have you been having any other issues using Revit 2012 on the new MacBook Pro with Parallels 7 (and Windows 7)?
I'm about to purchase the 15-inch macBook Prop with 2.7GHz quad core Intel Core i7 processor, with 16GB memory. (and I'll also be using Parallels 7 and Windows 7).

No, for the most part I have had good success using my MBP to run Revit 2012 via Windows 7 and Parallels. I have an early 2011 MBP with the 2.3GHz i7 and 8 GB RAM.
