I would like to use the publish feature to generate .plt plot files. As far as I can tell the only way to do it is to create a page setup that is set to plot to a file. This works, but I can only get the publisher to place the .plt files in a local folder. Is there a way to have the .plt files placed in the same directory as the drawing?

Under options on the plot and publish tab there is a spot to specify the default directory for plot to file operations.

Yes, but I would like to set it so that the plot files are saved in the directory of the drawing from which they are created. That would mean publishing the files to different folders. Any suggestions?

Hi

Check out the following Technical Documents on the Autodesk web site under the Knowledge Base section...

ID: TS38777 - Plot drawings to specific folder (http://usa.autodesk.com/getdoc/id=TS38777)

ID: TS70754 - Location of PLT files (http://usa.autodesk.com/getdoc/id=TS70754)

Have a good one, Mike

OK - So I wanted to do this today - plot to a file - I cannot find that on the Page Setup - Did you find something that I did not?

I see the Plot to File button on the Plot dialog box but not the Page Setup dialog box.

Help please?

You have to create your pc3 file which plots to a file. Then use that pc3 file in your page setup.
