View Full Version : Sizing Model Text

I am producing a model of an AV Panel in Revit and need to place text on the face of the panels from within the elevation views. The problem occurs when trying to size the model text down to the required size of less than 4mm as it disjoints the lines. I'm aware this is because the model text is in theory, lines and Revit doesn't like these connecting lines being so small. Is there a way around this where possibly a certain font doesn't obscure so much, or another method of creating the text. I also tried creating a text annotation family but this wont let me place the component in the elevation view. I only want the text viewable on the model once loaded into a project on the front elevation, for when it is rendered and possibly in the 3D view.

Any help or ideas would be good...

Try true type fonts only. This should resolve your line clash, as TTF's are raster based and degrade at the pixels, not lines.

I am using True Type fonts and still having the same issue. is there any other method you can suggest?

Well what is your output source? DWF/DWG/PDF/Jpeg/Tiff/Wmf etc...

Perhaps it is the fedelity of your reader, and some upgrade in driver would give the output with no degredation.
Perhaps an upgrade in graphic card and processer would help.

I'd go for both.
