I just got my AutoCad2005. Simple commands I used in 2000 and R14 are unknown commands in 2005. I need to find out what the new command names are in 2005.

1. "extrim" (r14 and r2000 command); This command would allow you to quickly trim around text or any other object. I used it all the time but it is an unknown command in 2005. Any Ideal what 2005 might call this?

2. "layiso" (r14 and r2000 command) this would isolate any layer I choose. Any Ideal what 2005 might call this?

They are both really simple commands. If you know please post an answer or feel free to e-mail me directly. This has been really frustrating and I’m a bit embarrassed to have to ask. Thankyou for your help.

those are express tools. have you checked to see that they are properly loaded? (it is a separate install from acad)

Thank you so much. You are absolutely right. I overlooked the express tools when I put the software on my machine.
