Okay so here is a strange one.

I’m working for a client at present using 2010 and have all my menus set up how I like them etc. the thing is due to differing circumstances I’ll be returning to my parent company in the new year and would like to take these menus with me. The problem is they are still using 2008 I know a long way to keep the menu’s but is there a quick fix for transferring/saving them down to a lower version?

I believe 2010 is when the .cuix file was introduced. You can try opening this file, which is a compressed folder, and extract the individual .cui files. They should be able to be used in 2008, unfortunately, you may not be able to edit them from 2008.

I would suggest you make a backup before trying this solution.
