wall section button

Hi

First time posting, and posted this somewhere else on the site, but here it is again desperate!! I am unable to find the wall section button. I press view, section, and where it says " section - building section" drop down there is only building section and detail. is there something i can do to get it or is it a fault with the software? any help much appreciate

Like most things in Revit you can modify the out-of-the-box families to get what you want. In this case click on the Section button and then choose "Edit Type" from the Properties window. In the Type Properties window that pops up select "Duplicate" and name your new section family type "Wall Section" and click OK. Now you have your new section type!
