Roofs, Floors, and Ceilings

Is it possible to create a roof or a floor so that its underside is defined as a ceiling that could host lights and be used in energy calculations? Meaning, I wouldn't have to go back and place a ceiling in instances where the ceiling was attached directly to the joists.

No. You could make geometry that looks like a ceiling, but Revit won't recognize it as such unless you create it with the ceiling tool separately from the floor or roof.
