David Light has posted a very interesting post here http://autodesk-revit.blogspot.com/2011/12/very-quick-adaptive-railings.html about adaptive railing. It is really a very useful way of creating some complex railing option relatively easy. I have experimented with this concpet and developed a railing with intermediate rails.
