How do I dimension a diameter in Revit architecture 2009, ( see illustration attached).
I drew an overhead line in this drawing to get the endpoint grips for the 1' 2" diam. dim.
I know there's a better way.

I don't know of a better way to do it other than what you already did.

Thanks Gabe but I just wanted to do it without the line.

Split the circle into two arcs.

That would be too easy!
Thanks Andrew.

I just found out a few weeks ago how to diameter dim circles:

1. Draw a vertical line.
2. Dim from line to circle
3. Move witness line from line to circle.

Goofy way of doing it, but at least you can diameter a circle, great for those ADA clearances!!!

That's so dumb. If it lets us choose the circle as a dimension-able object AFTER the dimension is created, why not before?!

Thanks, Revitaoist. Good to know it's doable!

You can draw the "diameter" symbol by typing %%c.
