any way to get the unreferenced level tags to hide when printed? the option 'hide unreferenced view tags" seems not to apply to level heads in elevations or sections.

By unreferenced level you mean levels that don't have a plan associated with them, right? You have to individually hide them in the views you are going to print.

Or you could duplicate your view with detailing (right click on the view name >Duplicate View > Duplicate as a Dependent), then hide the levels in the dependent view, and put that view on your sheets to print instead of the parent view you are working in. Or use something like reference planes instead of levels, which you can set not to print.

What is an 'unreferenced level'?
If it's a level datum that has no associated plan view then the question is what purposes is it serving in the model?
The short answer is you can do this with filters.
Duplicate your level type to create a new type. Give it a unique name and create a filter that will find it based on type name. Add the filter to your views and turn visibility off.

Yes I mean plan levels that have no associated views with them. The reason they are there is because I like to constrain walls, columns, beams, etc to different levels rather than assigning offsets. So I have "Level 1 Top of Wall" and so on. It is much easier to make changes by moving the level rather than selecting each wall, or typing in the offset value each time I draw a new wall.

Thanks for your answers. I was hoping there was a setting I could change, but it looks like I will make a filter or something.
