When drawing a 2D detail and using the Plywood-Section family the hatch pattern of the plywood is too dense at large scales like 12'=1' or 6"=1'. Looks fine on screen but when plotted to paper its just a black streak. I realize the detail component familys are geared toward use in smaller scale details like in a set of architectural drawings, but I'm using Revit for shop drawings of metal panel walls and our details are typically either full size or half size.

Is there a way to control the density of the hatch patterns in this or any detail component family?

Thanks,
Allen

You'll need to modify the hatch pattern in the filled region within the detail component family.

It needs a model pattern that not only doesn't scale, but also allows rotating. Try this one. Also, it does not need a type for each thickness. You might actually prefer that ...

Thanks for the replys. I had forgotten Revit has a .pat file. And thanks for the sample family. That's pretty much what I want.
