Door Tags

I love door tags!.... Framers on the other hand want to see the door size directly on the floor plan. Is there a way to show the door size on the plan without just typing in text?

you'll have to open the annotation family in your library. insert a label and tell it to point to width. Insert another for Height.

Or make up a tag that has no graphics besides a label.

Heres a quick hack. Revit can do what you want. Use this as a starting point.

did you know that dimensions can report width and height of an opening? Check the Dimension properties, at the bottom of the list there is a check box for "show opening height"

Can you use that rather than a tag?
