Our detail level settings in all projects has always been set to have 1/8" scale and larger drawings default to Medium detail, while 1/10" scale and smaller defaults to Coarse. Our floor plans are almost always 1/8" scale, and our building sections are also usually 1/8" scale. As a result, all our floor plans and building sections default to Medium detail level.
The problem now is that I set up a section/elevation View Template, and unchecked EVERYTHING except for Revit Link view settings. This View Template controls annotations in linked Revit files only. However, I applied that template to a section view, and checked the box to always apply that template to new views of the same type. Everything was fine as far as that template was applied to that initial view.
Now, whenever I create a new building section from the 1/8" scale floor plan, the resulting section defaults to Coarse. Anyone have an idea why this might be happening?
Annnnd now it just crashed with a fatal error when I tried to place a 1-1/2" scale section in a 1/8" plan, just to see what detail level it would have. grrrrrrr
