View Full Version : SXGA Notebook Display
Is anyone up on the new notebook displays SXGA at 1400 x 1050. Is this a good setting for Revit. I have heard if you reduce the resolution the picture really suffers.

It does, because the display pixels really "want" to see the image at that resolution. My new Dell shipped with the DPI setting in the Windows Graphics settings dialog to 120 DPI rather than 96 to compensate for the Too Much Resolution problem.
Well, that setting made images in Internet Explorer look jagged and ****** even at 1400 x 1050, so I dug around on Dell's forums til I found out that this was the problem.
Connect an external monitor if you want while you're in the office...
When I'm training I have to drop the resolution for the projector's sake, and it doesn't look TOO bad... but when I go back to 1400 x 1050 it looks really sharp!
