Hi all - not sure if this is the right forum....
We often export data from Revit using the RDBLink to a SQL Server.
From SQL we get an Excel file.
The Excel file gets updated, then imported into SQL and imported again into Revit.
The last time we did this we noticed that the room tags were displaying the wrong room numbers on the second floor. When picking the room, the data in the properties dialog box was correct. The room number was correct, but the tag was not correct.
Weird, eh?
All other floors were fine.
This only happened on the second floor.
Moving the tag outside of the room and then, when Revit throws up the warning that a room tag is outside the room boundary, we moved the tag back inside the room and it updated to display the correct value.
So. We're a little gun shy.
Anyone else have the data not automagically update a tag?
Any ideas?
I did check for other rooms in the same place that might have confused the tags. Nothing.
I wasn't around for this process, but will be next time. I plan on checking the schedules to see if they get updated. Not sure what else to look for. Not sure if this is a known issue in Revit.
