Family material join, again

Why wont a column and a wall of the same material join? I've tried all of the things from past experiences.

In your plan view - looks like it is set to wireframe instead of hidden lines
Also - make sure that the walls structural usage is the same as the column (ie: a non-structural wall will create a line between it and a structural column)
