I am currently attempting to model a Helix Anchor and seem to be having some trouble.

I'm well aware of the "Divide Surface" and turn on "Nodes" approach, however that process only works for circular sweeps/extrusions. Once you attempt to create a rectangular profile "simulating the helices", the geometry no longer works.
Are there any other solutions aside from modeling this thing in 3DS Max? I've been racking my brain all day attempting multiple approaches. PLEASE HELP!
