Are you talking about the 'time' command as in AutoCad? The amount of time a project file is open?

No there is no such command.. There is some time based information in journal files, if you are familiar with these, I think that there is a time stamp at the File Open command or perhaps the session start, but journal files are something of a black art so don't expect that information to remain available to you.

There are a number of work timers out there such as the journal tool in MS Outlook, those integrated in accounting software and some stand alone timers, of which some are freeware.

Hi Aliya,
A quick and easy method is simply to have your backup files set for 15 minutes. Revit numbers each backup; therefore, at any time, you can look at the backup number and divide by 4 to get the total hours spent on any project. This is not absolutely exact, but it's close.

Good luck

I have an autojournal vba add-in for acad which adds the time spent on acad files to outlook journal. It would be great if there was something similar for revit.
Or if the journal file could be used 'dynamically' i.e. link the project to a specific journal file.
Not sure if/how this would be possible but i would benefit from it.

I have been playing with Time Sled, which is useful . .when I remember to turn it on or off!!
It would be good to have a tool within Revit that allows you to monitor the time spent on each file - even if it is a clock on the menu bar . . .

I just downloaded it an will try it too. If it's manual i can understand how one would forget to use it.
