Glass color not showing

I've created a conceptual mass and added a pattern-based panel system to one surface. I am using one panel and trying to create Yes/No instance parameters to control each of the edge conditions. Until I get that working, I've been setting it to "Partial" so it trims the panels to the mass's shape. As you can see from the image, the panels that are getting trimmed are showing the glass color (my glass material is the default Revit glass: blue color, 75% transparent, solid fill surface pattern with same blue color), but the full panels are not showing the color. The elevation is set to Hidden Line visual style, any Detail Level. Color shows with Shaded, Consistent, or Realistic visual styles.

I assume Revit uses the Shading appearance of a material in 3D or Shaded, Consistent, or Realistic. And it uses Surface Pattern in Hidden Line in elevation.

Any thoughts, suggestions, and especially solutions would be greatly appreciated.
