Adding trim profiles to curtain walls

Any ideas on how to add a trim profile around the edge of a curtain wall, like a window casing?

Have you tried a custom mullion profile to get what you are looking for and using it for the boundary mullions? You could also create a custom face based family with instance parameters for height and width that you could lock to the edges of your curtain wall. It really depends on how extensively you are going to use it and in what types of appications you plan to use it. Hope this gets you started...

As Devin suggests, the only real options are custom mullions/panels for the perimeter or a separate family. You have to remember that Curtain walls are not window families, they are walls, so just as you would need to add individual trim boards at the corners or walls you'll need to do the same for curtain walls.
