I maybe missing something here but I do not follow how work planes seem to work.

I have a RC wall, which I changed the profile of to have the top of the wall slope. Now, I have tried to put a railing on the top of this sloping wall, but not suceeding.

I set a work plane on the top of the sloping wall to fix the raing, Revit message said un able to fit railing in this work plane.
Why set a work plane on the slope if unable to use it.

I have tried setting work planes before, but sends you around in a cirle.

Any help appreciated.

You cannot host a railing on the sloped surface of a wall with an edited profile.

You COULD place a floor along the sloped top of the wall, using a slope arrow, or point-edits, and then host the railing on it.

see attached.

Yeah, railings are fickle. They only host to a couple things. The floor trick Cliff suggests is a good one. You can create the floor to be very very thin, or hide it in all views so it vanishes, or think of it as the top patina of your wall.
