Link by View button is greyed out

I have a Structural file provided to us(one of many) that when going to Visibility/Graphics and trying to set By Linked View won't let me.
The By Linked View under Basic is grayed out.

Any ideas?

Is the link on a workset that is not loaded or not currently visible in the view?

What "type" of view are you trying to link to?
If that "type" isn't present in the linked model - the "by linked view" option will be grayed out.

For instance - if you're in a ceiling plan view and the structural model doesn't have any ceiling plan views for you to link to.

No worksets on either file and the Structural plan view of all Levels are created in the Structural file.
Any more taker?

So, you are in a floor plan view?
And trying to link to a floor plan view?
And there are floor plan views in the linked file?

Are you trying to modify the "Parent" link?
Or a "Child" link. The "Child" will not allow you to link to a view - only the "Parent"
