Creating custom paint

I cannot seem to figure out how to paint custom colors. Is there something really easy that I'm missing?

I would also like to create asphalt shingle roofing in a different color than come standard in the materials list ( gray) what's the easiest way to go about this?

Settings>Materials Then create a new material to your preferance. Then apply the Paint tool on your surface using your new material.
