Column with drop cap issues

I'm having an issue getting my Column with Drop Cap to print properly. In the view on my screen it shows up as a solid line with the proper fill. However, when I print, the line becomes dashed (fill still remains) I can't figure out why this is changing, especially since it looks good on the screen.

Do you have a screen shot?
Are you talking about a plan view or a section view?
Have you checked your visual style? Is it hidden line or wireframe?
Without a picture or better description of what you're wanting, I'm not sure where you are wanting a solid line. You are wanting a "solid" line; maybe make sure that the one object is a different material from the other object?
