What does the wcs export command mean in the export dialogue box. it has two options Project internal, and shared. any pros or cons in using these to get the information from Revit to the engineers drawings (cad format and then back to Revit after there completion?

Thanks in advance

wcs - world coordinate system (versus) a model coordinate system - wcs is the "legacy" coordinate system before paper / model space in AutoCAD.

Now what the implications are - I'm not sure, but from the help file:

When a Autodesk Revit project acquires coordinates from a linked dwg file, the World Coordinate System (WCS) of the selected linked dwg file becomes the shared coordinate system of the host Autodesk Revit project, based on the location of the linked dwg instance. The Y axis of the dwg becomes True North, and the origin of the dwg becomes the origin of the shared coordinate system of the Autodesk Revit project.

thank you very much. since we are doing this internally, we will just relink the new cad layers created using the origin to origin.
