Compound wall error

I'm getting this error when trying to create a vertical compound wall. What am I doing wrong? How can I fix this? Thanks.

Can you post a screenshot of your wall type "Edit Assembly" window as you are editing your wall so we can see all the layers? And maybe the same for each wall type you are using in your compound wall?

OK, I got the wall to split fine. But what I was going for was a 'notch' in the wall. Can I get rid of the boundary? Maybe a stacked wall would be the way to go? Thoughts?
