Hi,

I'm using Civil 3D and I am creating catchment areas for use in my highway drainage design. Is there a way to stop the downstream catchment areas overlapping the upstream catchment areas?

My question would be; why are they not stoping where they should be?
Are you sure the surface is correct in those areas?

I am trying to calculate the catchment areas for a number of road gullies. A number of these are positioned to prevent water running across junctions, etc. This results in a number of gullies being located within catchment areas of downstream gullies.

I am trying to stop the catchment areas of these downstream gullies overlapping the upstream catchment areas.

I hope this makes sense?

It makes sense, however is your surface designed to create these discreet cathments?
OR
Are you making a determination that this drainage goes in that inlet, and nothing runs past it....even if it really does?

In such case you will be manually editing your catchment areas.

I want to make the assumption all drainage flows into this inlet. How do I manually change the catchment area? It doesn't seem to allow me to manual edit the parameters

Use CREATE Catchment from Object command option
