Failed to Open Document

We have a real problem Revit files in February.
Many .rfa’s and .rte’s and some ,rvt’s are coming up with the error “Failed to Open Document”.

We haven’t found any solutions out there.

Maybe you have you heard of it?
What does it mean?
Is there a Revit utility to fix the files?

It seems like network issue to me, but we need a fix.
We are grasping at straws here.

Any help would be great.

I have the same issue: revit 2009 file, no worksets or links but cannot open...Any solutions to this issue? we tried in diffrent computers...same result

if you think it's network related take a copy to your desktop and open it from there.


Also you haven't said when in the process of opening the file that you get that error. Give us as much specific information as possible. Do you even have read access to that file on the server?
