Scheduling Equipment by Room Number

I apologize if this has been posted before. I am trying to schedule my equipment by room number, but there is a specific family (wall mounted) that is not associating with the room number of the room it's in. Is there a way to edit the family so that it will recognize the room it is hosted in?

Search around for similar threads, I've seen some on scheduling furniture by room... to do that you just need to be in the same model, and when you go to add the fields to your schedule, down where it says

"Select available fields from:"

Choose rooms and then you should be able to pick:

Room:Name
Room:Number

as field names...

It should work for equipment, if it all is under the Family type Equipment...

If the element is face based, check to see where the origin of the family is, as determined by the "Defines Origin" check box in the properties of the reference planes. If the family origin is inside the project wall or in the room on the other side of the wall, you will get an unexpected result. I have used this in panel signage to show the room on the back of a sign.

Also, if the element is wall hosted, check to make sure it is actually placed on the placement side in the family.
