Hello,

I am trying to create a fairly simple frame system using the Frame Generator extension but I receive an error message each time. The error message is "Line length is too small for Revit tolerance. Parameter : end point." I have set the Project units in meters/cm, I have tried changing the sections of the elements. Nothing helps. The frame structure is quite simple, with 4 bays and 6 openings on the transversal direction. I will atach in zip format my two frames.

Thank you in advance.

Hi!

I tried recreating the frame definition from scratch. If i work with elevations and 4.50 as the angle, i let it calculate the next height, copy paste through the bays and the generation works. I also tried putting in the exact elevations you have but noticed that the angle winds up being 4.51 not 4.50.
If I open your file and in the geometry click back and forth a few times (in each bay tab) between the edit boxes the angle of 4.51 eventually catches up. It is something about how the values were entered where the automatic calculation through the edit controls didnt' happen (maybe by cut/pasting and then clicking to the next bay tab and not out to another edit control?) It seems like there is some opportunity for enhancing the way the edit controls recalculate themselves (or maybe just force a conscious selection of either one elevation and an angle or two elevations?)

Anyhow, try that clicking back and forth in the edit controls to get the angle to update and see if it will then generate your structure. (you might also try and think back through your data entry and see if there's a way to make it update properly when you enter the data. I think it requires clicking to another edit box after each entry but i'm not certain)

Let me know what you find.
