Structural Foundation Tag - Elevation Varies?

I have added the tag "Structural Foundation Tag with Elevation" to all of the footings on my foundation plan. Most of them display the elevation properly, but some of them display the elevation as "varies". Does anyone know why this occurs and how I can get the tag to display properly?
