Demolition Question

So I have a demolition question that might seem a bit obvious. How do I show partial demolition of an existing wall without showing the whole wall as being demolished? This is my first project working with existing conditions and the need for a demolition drawing, so it's something new to me. Also, it's been my standard with ACad to tag my demolition and assign notes to the specific demo numbered tag, I was wondering how others achieved the demolition notes in Revit. Any help or advice is always appreciated, thanks.

Break the wall with the split tool. Then demolish one segment. For demolition notes, you can use a custom annotation family, something simple such a square with one label, to assign a number or letter to the demolition notes, and then create a legend, or a key schedule to list the designations and descriptions.
