Hi, How do I get my windows in "legend" elevation to show up like in my building elevations with the same details, ie. swing lines in elevation to show awnings and casements? when I put my cursor over the window I can see them but once it dont they go away.
thanks

You need to create a "legend" view…
Click View tab > select Create panel > Legends drop-down (Legend).
In the New Legend View dialog, enter a name for the legend view and select the view scale.
Click OK.
The legend view opens and is added to the Project Browser list.
more details can be found in the Revit Wiki (http://wikihelp.autodesk.com/Revit/enu/2012/Help/Revit_User's_Guide/1394-Document1394/1471-Legend_V1471)

Thanks for the reply, but my question is why doesnt my window in the "legend" view show up with the same detail as what shows on my elevations. More specifically my window swing lines. They show up in "elevation" views but not the "legend" views. My doors in "legend" view show up like they are supposed to...
tried changing the scale, detail level and visual style of the "legend" and that didnt make any difference. see attachments

Should just work! Check your detail level within your legned, maybe its on 'Course" whereas the swing lines only show at medium or fine?

Nope, checked that. all set to medium and shaded. doesnt matter it is it set to wireframe, hidden, shaded or whatever. all shows the same.
thanks

The correct window "subcategory" with the swing lines on it arent turned off?
Maybe the swing lines are model lines? Therefore they may only be on one side of your windows?

I agree with Alex. Most probably it is mode line issue as OP can see them while hovering cursor over it.
