do I have to look at the splash screen front and center every time I start up Revit? It just dawned on me this morning that I've been working for years at the edges of the screen while Revit starts up, all because Autodesk wants my gratitude. MS products do the same thing, but the splash screen is smaller and they load a lot faster. There isn't any reason it can't load in the background like everybody else's software.

Sorry for the early morning whining...

Thanks!

Maybe they'll eventually allow for the removal of Splash screens just as in CAD's directory editing (/nologo).

I used to hate that splash screen, too. Until I learned that it could be eliminated by editing the properties of the shortcut, like this:

"C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Revit MEP 2012\Program\Revit.exe" /nosplash

The issue became less important as soon as I bought a faster computer, though. :)

I'm able to set the splash behind active windows, so I can work on other stuff while Revit loads. Are you unable to?
