Can anyone help? I'm working on a large drawing which has several xrefs. Everytime I try to edit the xref I get this problem anyone got any ideas.

Command: REFEDIT
Select reference:
Select nested objects:
1 entity added
Select nested objects:
1 item selected
Errors found in references to other objects:
** Object reference missing: AcDbMText, to AcDbLeader.
*Cancel*

Have gone through the help with no luck on this error.

Hi

Check out the following Technical Documents on the Autodesk web site under the Knowledge Base section -

ID: TS70837 - Error: Object reference missing: AcDbDimStyleTableRecord, to AcDbLeader (http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/ps/item?siteID=123112&id=2889569&linkID=2475323)

ID: TS74903 - Error: Application reference missing: ACAD, to AcDbBlockTableRecord (http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/ps/item?siteID=123112&id=2893135&linkID=2475323)

ID: TS44806 - Error: Object reference missing: AcDbLayerTableRecord, to AcDbPlaceHolder (http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/ps/item?siteID=123112&id=2877812&linkID=2475323)

Please note that none of the above directly answer your particular issue / problem, I only offer them as possible pointers to help you track down the cause of your Error message.

If no joy, is it possible to post the Xref file in question so we can take a look.

Have a good one, Mike

To open your xref from your host drawing try using the XOPEN command.
If you have a problem with REFEDIT not working on a specific block/attribute try to redefine it, make sure it was created in layer "0" and the color is set to "by layer"
I always try to redefine the block before taking any more drastic measure such as BURST.
If you need help with redefing blocks I have a word document with step by step instructions that I can email you. The file is to large to post in AUGI.
Hope this helps.
