Automatically rename family

When synchronizing or inserting views from another family, Revit give duplicate familys a # suffix. Is there a way around this? Thanks.

Not that I'm aware of. If you reuse detail views from project to project just make sure they have unique names such as Typical Stair Reinforcing vs Detail A, Detail B etc.
It won't eliminate the issue but it will make it less likely that a detail name will be duplicated.
