I need to find a good quick way to insert something from Excel into revit (as just plain text). For what ever reason, even though each individual state has bought in to IBC, they haven't all bought in to the Special Inspection portion, and they continue to amend it. So I can go to the states web site and usually find either a word doc, an excel file, a pdf or all of the above. Now, I could spend about a week to insert this into revit by hand, but I'd have to do it for every project. I've tired a little add-on called Quick Table, but it doesn't do the trick when it comes to formatting. I could try to print it as an image and just go that way, but I don't like carrying image files in my models, not to mention, the print quality wouldn't look very good.
Anyone have any better ideas.
Here's a link to the state of Georgia's website (http://www.dca.state.ga.us/development/constructioncodes/programs/documents/GASpecialInspectionGuidelines.pdf) with the pdf version of it. The things I need to get in to Revit start on page 16 and go to 26. From my understanding many states are now requiring these "Schedules" to be in the drawing set.
Any suggestions would be great.
Thanks in advance.

I feel your pain...
I just came searching to see if anyone had any new info on getting data from excel to Revit. Unfortunately, it looks as if nothing has changed. :-(

I print to PDF, right click on the pdf save as jpg, insert. Delete and repeat when changes are made. If you are handy with cad, you can link into cad, then xref into revit.
