My model is a 3 storey tower, Spliced joints in columns are about 2 feet above floor framing.
In plan the colums are at the 4 corners 30 ft apart. Storey height is about 20'.
I have added X bracing lines to model. I use the X bracing generator, When I complete filling out the varables in the bracing generator,no bracing is modeled.
The first storey doesn't have a joints in the column, The generator doesn't work there
and it doesn't work in the stories that have column joints.
The work frame was originally made by overlaying the workframe members on the AutoCad dxf drawing. I completed all members and connections before adding the X bracing lines. I added the edge beams centerlines to the workframe model and then added the bracing diagonal lines, I then open the member qand tried to add the bracing. as written a bove, no brace showed up.
Model is attached.
Anyone have any suggestions about what's wrong?
