We have a 15 story tower with a full tenant fitout. No core and shell here! Every room is present and accounted for. We have several color schemes, one for department areas, one for gross areas and so on.

We need a new color scheme for an upcoming presentation. Now that we have filled the building with a multitude of offices, copy rooms, conference, cafeteria etc, using the color scheme editing window (the one with RGB, visibility, color, fill pattern) has become tedious.

Is it possible to dump the whole table into a schedule and edit it like an Excel sheet?

Short answer: No.

Long answer:

You could try using the DB Link add-in, and export the Revit rooms out to an excel or Access Database,
but I'm not sure about the "return trip" back into Revit?

Another ( not free ) option would be to use an external app like Trelligence Affinity for Revit which does exactly what you need ( and more ). But coming in this late in the game would be very challenging.

Ideate's BIM Link might be another option, or do a search on "Whitefeet"--just another possibility.

About late 2008, I actually used Trelligence while it was in beta. Was on the phone with Larry every day. I hear it's come a long way since then.

BTW, this project is on 2011 and I have a 64 bit machine, so the DB link out.
