Hows everybody finding its graphic stability? My first session was a bit unsteady.

In reading just the first few updates, I am worried about the ease in which family content can now be modified. 'Double Clicking' on a family to open up the family editor, sounds like a good thing, but can quickly become a nightmare for content managers. Is there a way to disable this in 2013?
Thank you in advance,
Jeff S.

I see they didn't list anything they might have actually fixed.
You'd think that list would be getting shorter, but I guess not.
Still looking for those responses to our 200+ outstanding SR's.
The design team must still be trying to evaluate the problem.

Double-click to family editor: I love that.
In fact, I sent a request of that sort to Adesk via the feedback page. I wish the whole interface were more alive like that, less dialog boxes, more double-clicks, right-clicks, grip-editing, etc.

That's interesting, as I don't like the double click to edit a family idea. One false move and you're into the family editor before you know it. I would prefer if this was an option personally. I think the editing of families needs to be more of a deliberate action, "right click - edit family" was fine in my opinion.
Am looking forward to my first set of stairs and railings however!

Has anyone seen the lost Revit text editor? 1985 called and was wanting theirs back.

I'd like to see if Autodesk one day add the option for this feature, make it like the "toggle" in the 3dsmax. Or, make it a "triple-click", just like in the Sketchup,"click more, get more be selected". So , let it be selectable to us. Oh , my poor words, not sure I make it clear.

My office opened a support request re guarding this and there response was no way to disable this per user or at all. So we when into our families and made them all Read-Only to help.

Good idea - sometimes the simple solutions are the best!

Billy,
Our families are setup as read only for most of the office staff. Although there are a few people that have been deemed, 'Worthy' and have write access to our libraries. I am one of them, but I can realize that I'm accessing the library and not save. I'm just saying that there could have been a better use of double clicking on a family.
Cheers,
Jeff S.

I'm also curious to see if they can't get rid of having to press "Alt" on the keyboard to bring up the shortcuts over icons. It'd be nice like in Max to just hit 4 or 5 to toggle between shaded/wiredframe, etc...
