Halftone

How can I increase the fading of the halftone property? I would like to be 75% or 80%.

Also, when I print out sheets the patterns come out light, (seems like the patterns use thin lines - pen #1), is there a way to change it so the come out darker? (maybe pen #2).

No control over this prior to 2011(?)
The only thing I can suggest is to add a parameter that allows you to override the elements you want and control them with a filter and view template. What are you trying to halftone, elements or an underlay?

Im trying to create an electrical plan making the walls, window and doors look "halftone".

What about controlling the pen width in the filled patterns?

The cut fill patterns use pen #1 by default and there is no way to change that. What you can do is increase the thickness of pen #1 and 'reserve' it for fill patterns only. You can also change the color of the line for cut fill patterns. Not sure if that gets you where you want to go. I still think filters and view templates would be your best option.

Dumb thought, but can't you select the arch model (assuming it's a link) and override graphics by view, and change the color to something like 230,230,230? Just a thought. Or you could do that in the VG of the linked file and change the walls to that color.
On your lineweight issue, the OOTB lineweights are super thin if you try to print anything less than full size. Our Pen #1 is set to 0.0030" across the board for all scales. That's the lightest line we've found that you can still print.

Not a dumb thought at all Dave (since that's essentially what I was suggesting :lol:)
I think the OP was asking about the default 'halftone' property and how that might be adjusted. As you point out the only way to do this is with 'color' not with a line 'density' as can be found in ACAD.

In 2012 (not sure about before), go to Manage - Additional Settings - Halftone/Underlay. There's a slider there for halftone brightness.

The OP doesn't state what version of Revit they are using?
