I have been on a scheduling kick as of late. It's such a powerful tool to be able to view a project like a kit of parts. I have cautiously found the takeoffs to be very accurate. However the wall scheduling tool is perplexing me. I have been playing with my second Revit project and it is must be the the result of novice mistakes. The schedule is finding walls that are 50' long and 9” wide but have a volume of 0 CF. and area of 0 sq. ft. The schedule view is finding multiple instances similar to this. Where my frustration lays is in the apparent lack of tools to find where in the model these very short walls are. I am thinking of doing 'save as' and start deleting walls to understand where and how these walls were created. This seams crude, so I thought I would ask if I am missing something here?

A couple of things you may or may not haved tried :-

1. From the project browser, > Families > Walls > select the wall type and right -click, the " select all instances" from the drop down menu.

All walls of that type in that view will highlight. You can tile a number of views if that helps.

2. Use the "eyeglasses" tool ( otherwise known as temporary/Hide Isoslate ) and select a wall, then click on " Isoslate selected objects of same category " this will isoslate all the walls in that view.

If the walls are very short and you are sure they are not required, you can just delete them straight from the schedule to clean things up.
