When attempting to change or modify a material from within a family, I open it's Type Properties, click on the Structure Edit button to open the Edit Assembly window, then click on the button next to the current material that I would like to change or modify in order to launch the Materials Editor.
The Materials Editor always opens with the first material class (alphanumeric) and the first material (alphanumeric) in that class selected. I am always compelled to navigate the Materials Editor in order to find the current material from the Edit Assembly window. Is there a way to configure Revit to open the Materials Editor with the current material already highlighted?
