What happens if you blow away a bunch of line styles you don't want?

I have just discovered that something has caused the import of tons of line styles that I don't want. I don't know if it was caused by a family import, but it is out of control. What would happen if I just start to blow away a bunch of line styles?

The problem with that it that - unlike Purge, or Deleting from the Project Browser is that is won't warn you if a Line Style is in use.
So you can accidentally delete Styles that you shouldn't.

Its been a while, but I believe if you delete a Style in use, and lines that use that Style get changed to the "Thin Lines" style.
