Dimension tick mark lineweight

OK, so I've looked through some threads and searched online. I know how to change the tick mark type and create a new type. Problem is, I can't figure out how to change the "Heavy End Pen Weight" to control the thickness of the tick. It is grayed-out in the type properties. Anybody know how to change this? I'm sure I'm missing something simple...

The Heavy End Pen Weight parameter is only used for the Heavy End tick mark type. Other tick mark types use the tick mark line weight property in the dimension style type itself.
